went for lovely walk in the woods at Ambergate. Got lost! Luckily we found some other walkers (eventually) who pointed us in the right direction back to the car.
Well Perranporth has survived another year with us visiting for 2 weeks!
We had fabulous weather, fabulous Cornish Pasties and lots of fun on the beach.
Roog just loves being on holiday, and what made even more exciting was his mate Rodney came too!

We went on a Greyhound walk at Elvaston Castle organised by the Retired Greyhound Trust.

There was sooooooo many Greyhounds. It was a fabulous morning. Rooghaun was such a good boy… Just a little bit of uffing cause we were bored posing for photographs!
We met Rodney for the first time, Rodney is an ex-racer whose just gone to live in Clowne with friends Rob & Pat. He’s been with them 3 weeks now. He is lovely… although as he’s only just retired he was still in racing mode, a pickenese also on the walk looked fair game!
We can’t wait for the next one.
Anti Lorinda couldn’t go as she was with Jase and Cath at their fairwell do as they are off to Canada. See you in Canada x
We were on Charles Hill happy lollopy lolloping along when we saw a cat… the cat had to be chased! The chase involved proper greyhound running, the cat jumped over a fence…. and so did Rooghaun!
I ran after him (obviously not as fast - but nearly) wondering what I’d find the other side, was he impaled on something, had he broken something, had he kept running never to be found again???
I eventually made it to the fence (gasping) shouting him - a little face popped up and said ‘wot’!
The problem now was that I was one side in the field and he was the other in somebodies garden and there was no way of sorting it!
On the phone to Anti Lorinda to come and rescue us! She was about 20 mins away so we were stuck!
I tried to shout for help - to no avail!
In the end I gave the fence a shove and dragged the naughty boy out.
He thought it was all very funny and continued to bounce all over! I was not amused!
Anti Lorinda arrived and took us both home. He is now banned from being off the lead and will have to have boring lead walks - no more fun!
